Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how Blumix (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit buyblumix.com, buy from us, sign up for our emails, or otherwise contact us (together, the “Services”). “Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, or can reasonably be linked to you.

By using the Services you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details — name, shipping and billing address, phone number and email.
• Order information — what you bought, what you paid, delivery details and payment confirmation (never your full card number).
• Email sign-ups — your email address, where you signed up (for example the welcome offer or the footer), and whether you chose The Good Refill newsletter or refill reminders, with the products and timing you picked.
• Messages — whatever you include when you use our contact form or email us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages and products you view, items you add to your cart, checkout steps, and the device, browser and approximate location (from your IP address) you use.
• Campaign data — if you arrive from one of our ads, the campaign identifiers in the link (such as utm tags), kept for up to 30 days.

Information from others

• Shopify and our payment processors, who handle checkout and confirm your payment so we can fulfill your order.
• Delivery carriers, who tell us about the status of your shipment.

Some features only work if you give us certain information — for example, we can't ship without an address.

How we use it

• To fulfill your orders — process payment, ship your order, send order and shipping emails, and handle returns.
• To talk with you — answer your messages and provide customer support.
• For marketing you asked for — the welcome email with your discount code, The Good Refill newsletter, refill reminders, and other offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To measure and improve — understand how people use the site, and measure whether our ads lead to sales (see Advertising measurement).
• To stay safe and legal — prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of service, and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with companies that help us run Blumix, and only what they need:

We may also disclose information when you ask us to, to comply with the law (such as a subpoena), to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets.

We don't sell your name, email address, postal address or order history.

Advertising measurement

We advertise in ChatGPT. To learn whether those ads lead to sales, our site and checkout send OpenAI limited information: pages and products viewed, cart and checkout actions, order totals, and the ad identifiers from the link you arrived on. We don't send your name, email, phone number, address or payment details.

This is on by default. You can turn it off at any time — your choice is saved in your browser and doesn't affect shopping:

We also honor Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends that signal, we don't send this information. Under some US state laws, sharing data for advertising can count as “sharing” or a “sale”; the setting above, or Global Privacy Control, is how you opt out of it.

Because the choice lives in your browser, you'll need to set it again on another device or browser, or after clearing your cookies.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to run the site and remember your choices:

• Essential — your cart, and whether you've already seen or used our welcome offer.
• Advertising measurement — your advertising preference, and ad campaign identifiers for up to 30 days (only when measurement is on).

Shopify sets its own cookies during checkout; see Shopify's cookie policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, like your cart, may stop working.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
• Correct information that's inaccurate.
• Delete your personal information.
• Get a copy of your information in a portable format.
• Opt out of advertising measurement (see above) and of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link in any email).
• Withdraw consent where we rely on it, and appeal if we decline your request — just reply to our response.

To make a request, email support@buyblumix.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by matching your email and order details. You can use an authorized agent; we'll ask for proof that they act for you. We'll respond within the time the law requires, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.

If you unsubscribe from marketing, we'll still send emails about orders you place.

Security and how long we keep it

We use reasonable safeguards, and our providers protect payment information to industry standards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't email us sensitive information like card numbers.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it: to fulfill orders and support you, keep required business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Email subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe.

Children

The Services aren't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Visitors outside the US

We're based in the United States and our providers process information here. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. Where the law requires it (for example from the EU or UK), we rely on recognized safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Other websites

Our site links to other websites — like Amazon, where our starter kits are sold, and news sources in our newsletter. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll give notice on the site or by email where the law requires.
